Creating a new invoice in your system is fast and easy! Follow this simple, six-step guide to get your billing documents out the door quickly.

Step 1: Navigate to the Invoicing Section
- Look for the Invoices section on the left-hand navigation menu.
- Once in the section, you can start the process by clicking either Create Invoice directly or going into the Overview section (which also contains an option to create a new invoice). For the fastest start, click the Create Invoice button under the main Invoices menu.
Step 2: Input Essential Invoice Details
The system will prompt you to fill in the core information for your new invoice:
- Client: Add or select the client you are invoicing.
- Date: Select the date when you are creating the invoice.
- Item: Pick the line item or add the one that you have already created. (If you need to manage your inventory or standard service items, remember that you can usually do this in the Invoice Settings section, found under the main Invoices menu.)
- Quantity: Enter the number of the goods or service units provided.
- Rate: Enter price charged per single unit of the item or service.
- Description: Add a brief explanation detailing the specific product or service delivered.
- Tax Rate/Amount: Select the appropriate tax configuration.
Step 3: Final Review and Initial Save
After you have added all necessary items, take a moment to review the full document:
- Review all client details, dates, items, and totals.
- Once satisfied, click the main Save button to move to the next stage.
Step 4: Choose Your Next Action
The system will present you with a list of actions you can take now that the invoice has been created as a draft. You can choose one of the following options:
- Email the invoice to your client.
- Email the invoice to yourself.
- Create another invoice (for the same client).
- Create another invoice for someone else.
- Mark this draft invoice as sent and post it to your account ledger.
You’re done! Your professional invoice is now complete and ready to be delivered to your client.
